They can be worn every day, and some are sure to help you create a festive look.

Bracelets are great for layering, stacking and changing up your everyday look. They're easy to match with your other jewellery as bracelets come in a variety of styles, materials and sizes. Read on to find out what types of bracelets there are and how to choose the right bracelet for yourself or as a gift.

TYPES OF BRACELETS

Before choosing a bracelet, it is useful to know what types and styles of bracelets are most commonly worn. Not all bracelets are the same, and some types of bracelets are generally only suitable for wearing on certain occasions.

Ring-shaped bracelet

Traditionally, these bracelets are made of strong material, rigid and without a clasp, and are ring-shaped and simply placed on the wrist. They are usually made of solid metal and may sometimes have a movable hinge to make it easier for the wearer to slip it over the palm of the hand on the wrist.

Bead bracelet

Bead bracelets are versatile. Made from a variety of materials such as gemstones, glass, wood and more, beaded bracelets can be easily customised or stacked on top of each other to suit your style. Beaded bracelets are perfect for casual wear.

Chain type bracelets

These bracelets are usually made of metal chains. With a variety of chain types, thicknesses and materials to choose from, it's easy to express your style with a chain bracelet. They are easy to match with a chain worn around the neck, and this type of thicker chain is also preferred by men. Chain bracelets are the most comfortable and can be worn every day.

"Charm - charming bracelets

Probably one of the most customisable bracelet styles is the Charm flexible bracelet. These bracelets have charms that adorn the entire length of the bracelet. Each charm can represent a different moment in life, a person, a place or another sentimental memory. This type of bracelet is most often worn by younger women with casual outfits.

Cuff bracelets

Cuff bracelets are bracelets that are partially open on one side, making them easy to put on and take off, and are usually adjustable in size by squeezing or widening. Bracelets are usually wide and chunky, with a variety of textures, patterns or gemstones. Thinner bracelets of this type can also be subtle or elegant. These bracelets are designed to create a distinctive look, as they are bright and are usually worn for a party, a celebration or other special occasions.

Chain type bracelets

This type of bracelet and the regular chain type are undoubtedly some of the most popular styles of women's bracelets. From thick and heavy to thin and delicate bracelets that can be matched to any outfit. They are versatile and always fashionable, timeless, stackable and wearable in layers. A classic gold, silver or rose gold chain bracelet can be worn with any casual or formal outfit, and can also be matched with a variety of festive outfits.

Tennis bracelets

A tennis bracelet is a bracelet consisting of a symmetrical row of diamonds or precious stones connected by a thin precious metal chain. The stones in these bracelets are usually of the same size, shape, colour and clarity. The name comes from the American tennis player Chris Evert, who lost her diamond bracelet during a match and stopped playing before finding it again. Tennis bracelets are also known as diamond bracelets or eternity bracelets. Although originally reserved for diamond bracelets, it has since been extended to chains made of other precious stones or even rhinestones. They are elegant and versatile, making it easy to create a simple but fashionable look with one or more layers.

Wrap bracelets

Wrap bracelets often have a single clasp and are wrapped around the wrist several times, creating a multi-layered look with a single bracelet. Similar to layered multiple bracelets, they add a unique accent to any outfit. These bracelets are also available in a variety of adjustable lengths, often clasped or tied.

They come in a variety of shapes, materials and sizes (widths) and lengths, so that everyone can choose the one that suits them.

What bracelets are made of

Bracelets come in a variety of materials and metals. For example, 'costume jewellery' is a category of fashion jewellery that includes bracelets made of inexpensive materials or imitation gemstones. Costume jewellery is inexpensive because the materials are cheaper, but it is rather short-lived - it breaks, crumbles, liquefies, breaks, wears off over time and does not retain its value.

Fine jewellery, on the other hand, is made from more durable metals and materials, such as silver, gold, platinum, and may contain real gemstones or diamonds, which do not lose their sparkle and value over time. It is a better long-term investment as it never loses its value, and jewellery that has outlived its usefulness can be remounted/reworked into another piece(s) of jewellery.

 CHOOSING THE RIGHT BRACELET

Wristbands are valuable gifts for birthdays and various celebrations (birthdays, wedding anniversaries, school or university graduations). In our e-shop you can certainly find beautiful gold and silver bracelets that can make your loved one happy. But before you choose a bracelet, please consider the following.

When buying a bracelet for yourself or a loved one, make sure that the bracelet is the right size. Yes - bracelets come in different lengths, so it is important to find out the right length unless you are buying a bracelet that is adjustable in length. Also take into account the lifestyle of the intended gift recipient and consider what kind of bracelets they usually wear. Does he prefer charming bracelets that can be easily accessorised or customised, or would he prefer something more discreet? Do you notice him wearing a different bracelet every day?

Daily wear and tear must also be taken into account. Does the recipient often work at a desk? Repeated bumping or leaning of the wrists against the desk may influence which bracelet would be more comfortable for the wearer, so that it is not wide or heavily decorated.
